SAN FRANCISCO DOG EVENTS
April 27th, 2024 - Dog Fest 2024
DogFest is a celebration of dogs, families, community, and spring in San Francisco. Itās also a charitable event that raises funds for McKinley Elementary ā a small public school in the neighborhood.
DogFest attendees can expect nonstop fun and games. The park fills with carnival-style games staffed by McKinley students, while at the top end jumping castles keep the little ones busy. Dogs are the star of the event, of course, with a daylong show and contest. Food trucks ensure that everyone is well fed, while the book fair, merchant stalls, and the doggie adoption zone provide wonderful ways to support the community.
April 27th, 2024 - Adoption Event at Muttville HQ
Please come meet the adorable mutts of Muttville at our weekly adoption event! You just might find your new best friend!
Drop by anytime between 11am and 2pm on Saturday. And if youāve already got your eye on one of the available mutts on our website, please fill in an application and let us know by emailing adoptions@muttville.org. Weāll do our best to make sure that mutt will be there to meet you!
April 27th, 2024 - The San Francisco Shih Tzu Meetup Group Monthly Meetup
We will meet at the top of the hill at 11:30 AM - we stay and socialize for about an hour and then take a walk sometime between 12:15 and 12:30 depending on how many Shih Tzus and people are there.
April 27th, 2024 - Mission Bay Spring Artisan Market
We are thrilled to announce that we are back again for a super special Spring market with all of our favorite local makers. Enjoy a day outside with the pups and kids! Come hang out all day long as we support our local Norcal artisans.
April 27th, 2024 - Dog Days
Weāre inviting all dog lovers and pup parents to Oracle Park for a PAW-SOME day. Cheer on the Giants as they take on the Pittsburgh Piratesābut before you do, suit up your furry friends in costume for a chance to snag a contest crown. Join us for a pregame on-field parade. Partial proceeds from each special event ticket will benefit the SF SPCA.
April 28th, 2024 - Monthly Iggy Meet-Up @ GGP
Join us for our monthly meet-up event at the Golden Gate Park Dog Training Area, located behind the Bison Paddock near the 36th and Fulton park entrance. Itās a beautiful, fully enclosed space divided into small/big dog sections. The small dog area has turf and a sand pit for the dogs to run around. There are water fountains for the dogs, but no nearby restroom in the park for humans. Ample parking available.
April 28th, 2024 - Dog Friendly Hike - Lands End Trail
This trail explores the historic Sutro Baths and offers great views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Pacific Ocean. 3.4 mile loop.

April 23rd, 2024 - Weekday Pack Walk (Dogs and People)
Casual walk to stretch out the legs for both your and your pups after a long day at work (or snoozing in bed). This pack walk welcomes dogs with various temperaments including mild dog reactivity for you as an owner to work on advocating for your dog's space and boundaries while helping them build confidence around other dogs.
April 23rd, 2024 - Pack Walk - Martial Cottle Park
This Pack Walk is ~ 3.0 miles in length on a flat Paved Surface offering little shade, but drinking fountains in two places.
GSDs one year or younger are encouraged to turn around at the 1/2 mile mark to prevent damage to developing bones, joints and muscles of the pups!
April 24th, 2024 - Mid Week Walk & Park (All Small Dogs Welcome)
Busy weekends or just want to get your pup out for a mid-week stroll with other small dogs? Join us for a short walk in the San Jose (Willow Glen) area. The walk is simply a way for our dogs to warm up to one another and put their energy to good use.
April 27th, 2024 - Parade for Paws
Big dogs, small dogs. And their people owners too. All dressed up in fun crazy costumes to show off to the crowd and win prizes. The Doggie Costume Parade will begin at 2:00 pm, but check-in begins at 1:00 pm at the empty lot just north of Bubbles and Brew at 17105 Monterey Road in Downtown Morgan Hill. The cost to participate is $25. Consider making a donation and you (and your dog) will be listed as a sponsor on the event banner!
April 28th, 2024 - Head West Marketplace
HEAD WEST is a Local, Outdoor Marketplace of Makers, Merchants, Crafters, Designers + Artists in partnership with State Street Market and Los Altos Village Assocation. Note: All outdoor venues are kid + pet friendly, with ADA Accessible entrances and maintained portable/public restrooms for use.

Interested in learning more about fostering, or ready to pick up a foster dog? Our foster coordinators or volunteers will match you with a foster dog who is suitable for your household. Note that if you have a dog at home, or kids under 12, you have to bring them to meet your foster dog before taking the dog home.
April 27th, 2024 - Adopt Adorable Dogs
Meet foster dogs available for adoption! Our dogs live in homes with Tri-Valley Animal Rescue volunteers where they receive loving care, socialization and training.

Come meet your new BFF the fourth Saturday of each month at Pet Food Expressā Lafayette location.
April 28th, 2024 - Walk 4 Paws
Join Contra Costa Humane Society (CCHS) at Heather Farms Park for its 4th annual Walk 4 Paws! Support and bring awareness to CCHSās efforts to help animals! Bring family, friends, and your friendly fur babies to learn more about what CCHS is doing each day to find homes for dogs and cats and provide needed services to the community.
