July 5th, 2024 - First Friday Yappy Hour

Calling all Dog Lovers in San Francisco! Let your furry friends make new connections, romp around, and have a tail-wagging good time at First Friday Yappy Hour at Francisco Park. This is a perfect opportunity to socialize and engage in some dog-friendly activities in a fully enclosed and safe off-leash dog park. Don't miss out on this paws-itively delightful event and create lasting memories with your furry companions. Join us for a delightful time at the First Friday Yappy Hour!



Corgi meetups are back! All of our events are held outdoors, with safety guidelines according to state and city mandates. Whether you want to join a Corgi Run Club, or prefer to explore and discover some of our favorite Bay Area locales and activities, subscribe to our mailing list. You will need to join our group on Meetup.com to RSVP to any of our events.


July 6th, 2024 - SF Marathon Hype Run

Welcome to the SF Marathon Long Run series 🌁 Whether you're running any of the SFM races or just looking for a fun group to get in a weekend long run with, we've got Saturday morning plans for you! For the 6 weeks leading up to race weekend, we will be hosting a series of runs that tackle various parts of the courses in order to build confidence and eliminate race day surprises. It will all end with a Saturday shakeout run and an epic race day 🎉🏅


July 6th-7th, 2024 - California Classic Fan Fest


Come out to Thrive City for the California Classic Fan Fest on July 6th and 7th! Take part in multiple fan-friendly activities including live entertainment, carnival games, balloon artists, a magician, and more! California Classic Fan Fests are free and open to the public.


July 7th, 2024 - Head West Marketplace

HEAD WEST is a Local Outdoor Marketplace of Makers, Merchants, Crafters, Designers + Artists rooted in the Bay Area of Northern California.


Note: All outdoor venues are kid + pet friendly, with ADA Accessible entrances and maintained portable/public restrooms for use.


July 7th, 2024 - SF Chihuahua Meetup

Join us for the San Francisco Chihuahua Meetup! We will meet at Stern Grove Dog Park from 12 noon until 2 pm. Lots of fun dogs and great people. Feel free to bring your favorite food (savory or sweet) to the meetup! There will be adoptable dogs from local rescue groups.


SOUTH BAY DOG EVENTS



Casual walk to stretch out the legs for both your and your pups after a long day at work (or snoozing in bed). This pack walk welcomes dogs with various temperaments including mild dog reactivity for you as an owner to work on advocating for your dog's space and boundaries while helping them build confidence around other dogs.


This Pack Walk is ~ 3.0 miles in length on a flat Paved Surface offering little shade, but drinking fountains in two places.

GSDs one year or younger are encouraged to turn around at the 1/2 mile mark to prevent damage to developing bones, joints and muscles of the pups!



Busy weekends or just want to get your pup out for a mid-week stroll with other small dogs? Join us for a short walk in the San Jose (Willow Glen) area.

The walk is simply a way for our dogs to warm up to one another and put their energy to good use. 



Join the Foster City Parks & Recreation, Lions of Foster City, and the Foster City Rotary Club for this exciting all-day event on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Leo Ryan Park! You don't want to miss all the games, food, entertainment, family and dog parade, and a grand fireworks display.


Let the good times roll! This year marking it’s 53rd rendition, Half Moon Bay's beloved Ol' Fashioned 4th of July Parade along with a Pancake Breakfast, Block Party & Festival takes over Main Street, transforming the charming downtown into a festive Red, White and Blue celebration. The parade starts at 12 noon and lasts approximately 90 minutes.



Come and play with the dachshunds. We are here to let the dachshund ran and play with other dachshunds. Hope to see everyone there with your dachshunds. Please bring your beautiful dachshunds and all are welcome to join us.


July 7th, 2024 - Santana Row Mall Walk About


We'll meet in front of the Cinearts theater, 3088 Olsen Drive, across the street from Peet's Coffee at 10AM. We'll let our dogs meet then walk about the mall before it opens practicing heeling, sitting, going in elevators, using the stairs and then adjourn to Starbucks for coffee. We hope to see everybody there!


EAST BAY DOG EVENTS



This is a beautiful hike through two very shady Redwood canyons connected by a short stretch on a couple of neighborhood streets. We meet at the bottom of our out-and-back route at the parking lot for Dimond Park Community Center. We hike up to Joaquin Miller, then return down to Dimond Park. We can treat ourselves with an after-hike baked good and coffee at La Farine Bakery on Fruitvale Ave before returning to our cars.

HIKE RATING: Moderate, 8 miles, 1200 ft of climbing


July 4th, 2024 - 4th of July Parade

Bring the kids, grandparents, and friends. The Annual Downtown Martinez 4th of July Parade is a time-honored tradition perfect for the whole family! Wear your red, white, and blue, and join us for a memorable Independence Day in downtown Martinez!


July 4th, 2024 - Dog Foster Open House

Interested in learning more about fostering, or ready to pick up a foster dog?  Our foster coordinators or volunteers will match you with a foster dog who is suitable for your household. Note that if you have a dog at home, or kids under 12, you have to bring them to meet your foster dog before taking the dog home.


July 6th, 2024 - Joybound Mobile adoptions

During your visit, we will share information about the animal’s health, behavior, and the post-adoption resources we offer. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. The availability of particular animals cannot be guaranteed.


July 6th, 2024 - Adopt Adorable Dogs

Meet foster dogs available for adoption! Our dogs live in homes with Tri-Valley Animal Rescue volunteers where they receive loving care, socialization and training.


July 6th, 2024 - Dog Days of Summer

Come join us at the Hayward Sun Gallery for a fun-filled day celebrating our furry friends. Get ready for a tail-wagging good time!


Bring your pups and enjoy activities like assembling your own DIY Pup Cup, making a custom dog tag, taking a photo of you and your pet to take home, and making an upcycled dog tug! We will have pet-related vendors, Bark-cuterie boards for your dogs, snow cones and a food truck for attendees, and a doggie water feature for your pups to cool off in.


Don't miss out on the opportunity to meet other dog lovers in the Hayward, CA area.
